In her default appearance she has long, black hair with a pair of standing dog ears on top of her head, contrasting her sister Takao (azur lane)'s folded down ears, and large breasts. She wears a white military uniform with a miniskirt and black thighhighs. Atago bears a passionate and caring personality, considering herself to be the "big sister" of the fleet, while expressing affection towards the Commander.
