Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci (April 15th 1452 - May 2nd, 1519) was one of the most famous intellectuals during the Renaissance.
His works include Mona Lisa, The Last Supper and Vitruvian Man.
In Assassin's Creed II, he is a good friend of Ezio Auditore da Firenze.
He is always seen wearing typical Renaissance clothes with beret and cape.
