A lyre is a small stringed instrument. It is able to be picked up by the player, and is while being used. It has with strings fixed to a crossbar. They're often U-shaped, but can come in various appearances. They're often associated with ancient Greece.
Lyre is a distinct tag from a harp, which is larger in size ans stands upright while being used.
