Sigurd (romanized as Siglud in the Japanese version) is the main Lord character of Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, the inheritor of the duchy of Chalphy and a full-blooded descendant of Crusader Baldr (Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War). Deirdre (Fire Emblem) is his wife, and together, they have a son named Seliph (Fire Emblem).
As a full-blooded descendant of Crusader Baldo, Sigurd wields the holy sword Tyrfing (Fire Emblem), which is later passed down to his son Seliph.
Sigurd is ultimately killed by Arvis (Fire Emblem) at the end of the First Generation, and his son Seliph succeeds him for the Second Generation.
