A BBC (broadcaster) motoring show that became famous not only in Britain but also internationally and includes discussions, races, interviews, car challenges and a variety of other segments. Its most famous period and the inspiration for most works on this site referencing the series are when Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond presented a reworked version of the show from Series 1 in 2002 to Series 22 in 2015. Another well known character from Top Gear is the The Stig, played by a number of anonymous race drivers.
The show was briefly cancelled in 2015 after Jeremy Clarkson was fired from the BBC for punching a producer, with Hammond and May leaving soon after. However, due to its popularity, they would be hired by Amazon (company) for a new show called The Grand Tour, which followed the same format.
