American McGee's Alice is a third-person action PC video game which takes place in the Alice's Adventures in Wonderland universe. This Alice is designed by American_Mcgee.
Set years after Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, the game features a more mature, cynical and macabre incarnation of Alice.
She is now an older, dark-brown haired young woman with emerald green eyes. She wears a dark navy dress and a white apron with alchemical symbols, and is often drawn with a long butcher knife.
In Japanese the game is titled "Alice in Nightmare" (アリス イン ナイトメア).
The game also has a sequel titled Alice: Madness Returns.
A prequel titled Alice: Asylum was pitched, but failed to be greenlit. Following this, McGee chose to retire the series and step away from game development.
