A vegetable native to Mexico with a green-skinned, fleshy body that may be pear-shaped, egg-shaped, or spherical. Its skin is pitch black or green.
While technically a fruit, it is often served with salty foods like meat, tacos and tortas.
Main ingredient of guacamole.
