Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu (バカとテストと召喚獣, transl. Baka and Test) is a 2007 to 2013 light novel series written by Inoue Kenji and illustrated by Haga Yui, adapted into a 2009 manga series and two anime adaptations in 2010 and 2011 by Silver Link.
The show details the daily lives of Fumizuki Academy's Class F, a section of underachievers comprising of, among others, a_consistent_flunk-out, the_class_representative, a_bright_student_whose_failure_to_appear_in_placement_exams_landed_her_in_said_section, a_violent_tomboy, an_extremely_effeminate_stage_actor, and an_ace_pervert, and their exam-based battles with other classes using Shoukanjuu, magical beings based on a miniature form of their users whose abilities reflect their users' grades.
