Mario (series) character first appearing in Yume Koujou: Doki Doki Panic, then later incorporated into the Mario franchise proper with the international version of Super Mario Bros. 2. Birdos were a reoccurring mid-boss and subordinate of Wart (mario) during the attempted conquest of Subcon. Since then however the species has become overall less antagonistic and much more friendlier.
They are dinosaur-like with large snouts in place of a mouth, from which they shoot white eggs out of to attack. They have long eyelashes, eyeshadow and wear an ornate ring. They wear an oversized_bow on the back of their heads as well as have claws.
Birdos come in a variety of colors, though the main color is pink. Compared to Toad (mario)s and Yoshis, Birdos are much more consistently represented by a singular individual in a given game, where it's much rarer to see the rest of the species or a multitude in one place.
