The black dragonfish, is a long, wide-jawed, bioluminescent barbeled dragonfish of the family Stomiidae found in the deep sea at depths down to 2,000 metres (6,600 ft). Not to be confused with the Japanese dragonfish (cryptid) cryptid, which are likely derived from the sturgeon.
