bluebird
Latin: Sialia sp.
Japanese: ルリツグミ ruritsugumi
The bluebirds are a group of medium-sized, mostly insectivorous or omnivorous birds in the thrush family. Their plumage is either entirely blue, or blue with rose-beige chest/belly.
The bluebird as harbinger of happiness is symbology found in many cultures, from Chinese to Native American, and may date back thousands of years. Songwriters frequently portray the bluebird as a muse.
Do not confuse with blue jays.
