A game played with cards as the main medium of interaction.
Card games were typically divided in two categories:
- Collectible card game (CCG), a card game that utilize a fixed set of cards with little to no new cards added into the game, such as the classic playing cards and UNO (game).
- Trading card game (TCG), derived from trading cards, a card game that feature a wide variety of cards, with new cards being regularily added into the game. Notable examples including Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh!
