counter_girls
The iconic post count cat girls which used to serve Danbooru (site)'s front page, until the front page was replaced with /posts. Many but not all boorus today still use a front page inspired by Danbooru's, and utilize the counter girls or derivatives.
They were drawn by Kusaka Kokage.
