dao_fu
A symbol used as a good-luck charm in Chinese-speaking countries. It consists of the character 福 being placed upside down.
Commonly seen on the square-shaped Chinese New Year decoration, the doufang.
倒 (dao, literally "upside-down") 福 (fu, "fortune" or "good luck") is a homonym of 到福 ("fortune arrives") in Chinese (and most dialects of Chinese).
