Fourth JRPG developed by Square Co., Ltd. (now Square Enix) for the Final Fantasy series. First Final Fantasy for the SNES, released 19 October 1991. Later released for PlayStation (1997), WonderSwan Color (2001), GameBoy Advance (2005), Nintendo DS (2007) [as a remake], Wii (2009), and mobile phones (2009).
Dark Knight Cecil Harvey was stripped of his rank as commander of the Red Wings, air force of the Kingdom of Baron, for questioning his mission to invade otherwise peaceful nations in search of the Crystals. Having shed his past to become a Paladin, Cecil and his friends travel the world - and the moon - to stop Baron's march, only to learn of his startling heritage.
