An infant (roughly 50 years old during the events of The Mandalorian) member of Yoda's species, found by Din Djarin who then starts to watch over him. A former member of the Jedi Order, he was saved by another Jedi during order_66_and_the_clone_trooper_attack_on_the_Jedi_Temple.
Because his real name wasn't known until chapter 13 of The Mandalorian, other characters mostly referred to him as just the Child for the first 12 chapters; however, he was arguably better known among viewers by the nickname Baby Yoda.
