The main city of Hiroshima perfecture, Japan. Historically a major port and maritime hub of the country.
Widely remembered for being_the_target_of_the_first_ever_nuclear_weapon_attack in August 6, 1945. The B-29 superfortress bomber Enola Gay dropped the atomic_bomb "Little Boy (bomb)", a nearly 1 short ton (9,700 pounds) Uranium device with a blast yield of 15 kilotons, in the early morning of that day.
