She was originally created by Mukaida Kaoru as part of the first_Mahou_Shoujo_Taisen_Contest and won an Award of Excellence. In that post, Mukaida called her Clammbon (クラムボン). This is from a famous short story by Miyazawa Kenji who was born in Iwate.
