A fictional desert planet that appears in the Star Wars science fiction series.
Jakku is an arid planet located in a remote sector of the galaxy that has many spacecraft wrecks on its surface -like star destroyer ruins and other craft- so many consider this planet a massive junkyard. This is because during the last great space battle of the old Galactic Civil War between the ]] and the [[galactic empire (star wars)|Empire, several capital ships in orbit crashed on it.
Jakku first appeared in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens film from 2015.
