Simplified Chinese 剑
A double-edged straight Chinese sword of 45 to 80 centimeters (17.7 to 31.5 inches) in length, with a one- or two-handed grip, a tapering, pointed blade, and a pommel that is sometimes decorated with a tassel. Jian are still used in martial arts today.
