A co-production between Japan and Saudi Arabia, the anime is a loose adaptation of a famous moment in Islam, The Year of the Elephant, when Abraha of the Aksumite kingdom attempted to invade the city of Mecca and destroy the Kaaba. The movie follows Aus, a former thief turned potter, who joins a small army to defend his home from Abraha's army.
