js_taigei
JS Taigei (SS-513), the name ship of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's Taigei-class attack submarines. Laid down at the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Kobe Shipyard, it was named at its launch on October 14, 2020 and is scheduled to be turned over to the Maritime Self-Defense Force in 2022.
News of the submarine's launch prompted fan artists to dress the Kantai Collection personification of its name connection, a WWII submarine tender, the same way that game depicts its submarines -- wearing a school swimsuit.
