She was one of the previous incarnations of the Avatar, a powerful being who can control all four elements. She was an Earthbender who succeeded Avatar ]] and preceded Avatar [[Roku (Avatar)| and Aang.
She has long, brown hair and wears makeup resembling the kind seen in Peking opera. She also wears a golden headdress, a green kimono, and often dual wields folding fans. She was known to be very tall and very longlived, reaching the age of 230.
