lighter
A small hand-held object used to create a small fire. Commonly used to light cigarettes.
If the lighter is made of metal and has a flip-style lid, then also use the tag zippo lighter.
For a lighter with a long barrel and trigger,used more commonly to light candles, stoves, campfires and other things it would be preferable to keep one's fingers away from, see also wand lighter.
