Soviet swing-wing fighter jet. Intended to be the successor of the MiG-21 it's complexity of the swing wing gear prevent it from becoming a full replacement, merely supplementing the MiG-21 instead. Exported to a number of countries. Fought in the Iraq-Iran War and the 1st Gulf War. A ground attack variant of it became the MiG-27.
