ore_to_kanojo_ga_maou_to_yuusha_de_seitokaichou
A light novel by Aikawa Jou and illustrated by H2SO4. It was published by ASCII Media Works in May 2010 with strong initial sales. It was recalled in June 2010 due to major plagiarism issues with portions of dialog taken from other works, such as Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu.
The series takes place at a school for humans and non-humans with two opposing student councils, the Hero's student council and the Maou's student council. The main character's childhood friend becomes the Hero, but somehow he ends up with the position of Maou. He is now forced to conceal his identity as the Maou from his childhood friend.
