parfait
A dessert, similar to a sundae, made up of layers of ice cream or cream and fruit and/or fruit gelatin, served in a tall glass that makes all layers visible.
Usually eaten with a long-handle ice cream spoon.
Many posts actually refer to the American parfait while the traditional French parfait is made up of custard, cream, and fruit puree.
