pirozhki
Plural form of the Russian пирожок (pirozhok), literally "little pie". Baked or fried buns stuffed with any of a range of savory or sweet fillings. A stereotypical Russian convenience food, occupying a similar niche in that country's cuisine to that held by baozi in East Asia, empanadas in Spain, and such-like conceptually similar dishes.
