radio_telescope
A specialized parabolic antenna which can track different regions of the night sky in contrast with satellite dishes which are aimed and fixed towards geostationary satellites.
Frequently located on isolated areas as to avoid human-made signals, it surveys the sky for radio signals instead of light.
