red_guard
A Chinese Communist volunteer paramilitary organization founded during the era of Mao Zedong in China. Their attire consists of a mao cap, green simplified military uniform with a red collar, a red armband, a red scarf, and often holding "the_red_book" containing various quotes from Mao Zedong himself.
Prevalent during the Cultural Revolution period of China, as they were usually involved in enforcing the "standardization" of Chinese culture.
