shenyang_mandarin_text
A dialect of Northeastern Mandarin Chinese spoken in and around Shenyang.
This dialect is characterized by the use of a much lower pitch for the first tone compared to Standard Mandarin. It also makes copious use of a single-word 咱 (zán, zá) as first-person singular pronoun in casual speech (very similar to Kansai dialect's uchi), unlike most other Chinese dialects where it functions more as a first-person collective pronoun (like Standard Japanese's uchi).
Shenyang Mandarin is often used in translations and fanworks to adapt Japanese Kansai_dialect (analogous to Southern American English in English translations). Japanese characters who speak Kansai dialect are frequently depicted speaking Shenyang Mandarin in Chinese translations and fancomics.
