A character from the Transformers science fiction franchise.
Slag is an heroic dinobot Autobot, a powerful sentient alien robot that can transform into a red, gold and black mechanical triceratops dinosaur.
In the United Kingdom his name was changed to Slug. This was done because "slag" is a swear word (though the real-life term is more of a sexual nature) in that country and it was feared that his original name would have had a negative effect on toy sales.
Motto: "I have no need for friends, even less for enemies...".
