Retired real life Japanese horse jockey. Famous for achieving multiple victories with ]], as well as Happy Progress and ._He_has_also_ridden__
After retirement he became a racehorse trainer, though sadly his license was revoked after getting into trouble for accidentally bringing a fruit knife in his check-in luggage at an airport (which also landed him in further trouble when searching revealed he had some recreational drugs).
Tabara is also a professional manga author starting back from his jockeying days. His latest work, Hou no Niwa (The Courtyard of Law) has also been adapted into a television drama. Additionally, Mr. Tabara is a semi-prolific magazine columnist and musician.
