tatehiza

In Japanese, tate-hiza (立膝), meaning "standing knee," is a way to sit on the floor: with one knee up.

It is a blend of sitting crossed-legged, with the leg in proximity of touching the other thigh; and the other leg kneeling up, where the person either puts the hands on own knees, or can lean back and use either one or both of their arms for arm support.

Example being the tarnished one.
