The original manga and anime of the Tetsujin 28-gou series, first published from 1956 to 1966, while the anime ran from 1963 to 1966. It would later go on to serve as the primary inspiration for the 2004_anime_series.
This iteration of Tetsujin was aired in America under the localized title Gigantor, which dubbed 52 of the original 97 episodes.
