wasteland
A type of barren, devastated terrain that is inhospitable to life. Whereas polar regions and deserts are naturally barren due to their cold and/or arid climate, wastelands have been rendered uninhabitable by warfare, nuclear fallout, natural disasters, etc. Expect to see rocky terrain and abundant dust_clouds, and possibly dead vegetation or the wreckage of ruined civilizations.
Use this tag for landscapes bereft of green plants that aren't merely natural deserts, glaciers, or mountains.
