zuikaku_(kancolle)

Kantai Collection's personification of the Japanese aircraft carrier Zuikaku. Character design by Konishi (koconatu), voiced by Nomizu Iori.

She has long dark green hair in twintails, yellow/green eyes, and small breasts/flat chest. Her default outfit is a nontraditional miko set comprising a white kimono top, red hakama short skirt, black thigh boots with rudder_and_propeller parts, brown yugake, and a black muneate with her identifier "Zu" marked on it.

Her rigging consists of her flight deck on her left arm, her real-life hull to her back and used as a quiver, and multiple anti-aircraft gun placements on her waist and thigh boots.

In contrast with her sister ship Shoukaku (kancolle), Zuikaku is depicted as a brash, hot-headed, reckless, and somewhat tomboyish girl, in reference with her turbulent wartime career, in which she was credited for damaging and sinking several ships, but usually at a cost of large numbers of airmen.

She is frequently portrayed as a turkey and her in-game line "don't call me a turkey" is widely used as a joke on 4chan and 2channel. This stems from the IJN's notoriously poor performance in the battle of the Philippine Sea, where well-trained USN aviators referred to fighting inexperienced IJN pilots as a "turkey shoot".

Her abyssal form is assumed to be the Abyssal Crane Princess.
