Sonic Heroes (ソニック ヒーローズ Sonikku Hīrōzu) is a 2003 3D Sonic (series) game published by Sega and developed by Sonic Team. The game released for the PlayStation 2, Nintendo_GameCube, Xbox (original) and Windows PC, being the first to be released on a non-Sega home console.
In this game, the player takes control of one of four teams, each with three characters who fall into one of three categories; Speed, Fly and Power, each team has different stage formations, objectives and abilities as well. They need to work in teams to stop Dr. Eggman's new scheme, in a story meant to take place after the events of Sonic Adventure 2.
